Dunstone 200 Series Hi-Shrink Tape is the most common product used in a wide variety of applications. Examples include composite tubing ranging from 1” in diameter up to more than 36” in diameter. A number of product options are available, but 220R specifically is our Swiss Army knife capable of being used in a variety of composite applications.
Product Description
- .002” (0.050 mm) thick polyester film
- Available on 1.5” (38 mm) ID or 3.0” (76 mm) ID cores
- Standard widths of 0.5” (12 mm) wide up to 2.5” (63.5 mm) wide
- Custom widths available
- Suitable for cure temperatures up to 330°F (165°C)
Product Benefits
- Good film for thin-walled composite parts
- Applies low to moderate shrink force depending on the shrink % you specify
- Thin film minimizes height of cello lines on cured part
- Commonly used for consolidating composite tubes, flexible ductwork, and silicone hoses
Product Characteristics
- Available with release coating on 1 or 2 sides and without coating
- Custom slit widths and roll lengths available upon request
- Available shrink percentage ranges from 5% to 20% (can be customized to your application based on compaction force required)
